Willena, I read your “about” section and saw that you had attended a class or a workshop led by Maxine Masterfield. Just wanted to let you know that I’ve been a fan of her work for years, but had never met her. Several years ago I arrived at a little gallery in Sarasota to hang some of my paintings and she was in there taking her show down from the previous month. We chatted briefly. I was like a little star struck kid! 🙂

I know what you mean about being starstruck, I was that way too the first time I went to the Ohio Watercolor Society workshop. I was among so many of my artistic heroes I felt so intimidated but excited to meet these people I had only heard about.Maxine was at two of them and I took a class she led.She has a wonderful sense of humor and so generous with her knowledge.Being there was life changing for me and I felt validated as an artist for the first time. I will never forget it. So cool you had a show in the same space she did!
